13 Reasons To Evacuate a Castle

I found this at Life’s a Stage and Zebra Sounds and I am ordering the book Curious Lists: A Journal for the Impossibly Imaginative(Diary) because it sounds cool.

13 Reasons To Evacuate a Castle
The plague has come.
The dogs have turned feral.
The vikings have broken through the walls.
The cesspit has overflowed.
The peasants are revolting.
The rushes are infested with fleas.
The tapestries have caught on fire.
The chimneys are clogged.
The men are drunk on mead and getting grabby.
The women are drunk on mead and are running outside.
A falcon is loose in the hall.
Bats are roosting in the roof beams.
The suits of armor have come alive.
Bonus: The castle is haunted.

I have been haunting the Netherworld Hotel for years! It has not caused anyone to run away yet!

  4. These are awesome. I sure wish I had a castle, and I think a haunted one would be even better. Happy Thursday!

    1. Yes. Everything has its opposite. We've got to maintain the balance of the universe.

  8. I could see a bunch of those happening all at the same time. Definitely makes you want to get back to the future.

    1. I'd be outside most of the time. I wouldn't need to evacuate.

  15. Oh, I love your list. Especially "the suits of armor have come alive", but all are great items to this list! I'm sure you won't regret buying the book, it's so much fun :)

I have a list up on Friday Flash Dot Org this week, thought writers could come up with some fun items for unwise impersonations to do in a public bath. Have any ideas? Drop by -- http://fridayflash.org/press/2013/03/21/take-a-moment-to-write-a-curious-list-today/
