Me and My Kindle

I have mentioned before that I love my Kindle. I didn’t think I would but it increases the pleasure of reading.

I get new books at the snap of a finger. The machine is lighter than most books. I can read with one hand (excellent when lying in bed.) The text size is adjustable for my old, tired eyes. The screen’s lighting and contrast is also eye friendly. And I love trees.

I still buy books. There are certain books that I have to have in paper. My husband thought I’d give up paper books once I had a Kindle. He gets a tad flustered when a new book sneaks past the front door and into my hands (yes, they force themselves upon me.)

To see my Kindle reading list so far, go to Nessa’s Reading Room.

* This has not been a paid post but Amazon should give me some free books. I think I'll ask.

  3. What I don't like about the Kindle is that they will pull books you have already purchased from their inventory and delete them -- and from yours, too. Even after you buy a book from Kindle they do not consider it yours.

  4. I don't think I could ever read this way. I like to finger my books and hold them in my hand. They are all recycled at some point.

  5. I am not sure if kindle can really replace books, but I wish to try it out once. May be storage of books will be easier.

  8. I'm still curious about a kindle. I never have seen one before in real life. You definitely deserve some free books. Did you ask already? Have a wonderful day.

  10. I think they should too!!

I've been interesting in trying a Kindle for a long time...I just don't know if I can give up the feel and smell of a "real" book though.

  11. I also love, love love my Kindle. I did a post about it a while back. I am a little miffed that that have raised prices from the
$9.99 originally advertised. They are blaming it on the publishers.

  12. I finally got to see a real kindle. My friend has one. She does the Internet with hers a lot. She spends more time with e-mail and Internet than she does reading her books.

She showed me how to speed read on one. It is actually faster flipping the pages on the Kindle than doing so in the print item.

Miley Cyrus just told Dave Letterman that she doesn't Twitter, she hates Twitter.
I wonder if she has a Kindle machine?
