Another Waste of Time

Here's something else I wasted my time on (I'm not bitter, really I'm not.)

Actually, they all liked this. Saint Nicholas' head and hands were made of plaster.

This is what he used to look like. All in white. I liked him this way but my mother wanted him in color so I redid him.
I'm going to make an angel for next year, which I keep for myself.

  1. No, I don't think stuff that's handmade is a waste of time really. It always has a history and personality as opposed to the assembly line machine manufactured horrors we subject each other to.

Tell you what, you have inspired me. This year, I'll try to make all my gifts for Christmas.

(wish you could teach me how to quilt)

  2. I'm working on Eater eggs right now. If you take uncooked eggs and decorate them with Sharpies (permanant markers) they will dry internally and keep better than blown eggs. As long as they don't break and they are no in air tight containers, they won't stink. I will take pictures (although photography is not a skill I possess.) Maybe I'll have my husband do the pictures. He's good at it.
