I glanced out of my kitchen window, shadows and light playing tag in my peripheral vision, to see the leaves of my miniature, red maple kissing the heat of sun.
Lovely words and photo! Autumn is my favorite time of year..sadly it is gone here and the new season is upon us here. I choose to embrace the white fluffy stuff so that these long months of it are the least bit bareable. :) Happy Sunday to you and yours.
Sweet, Nessa. If I had a minature maple (or any kind of maple) I'd go read it your poem now, and dance around it with my glass of wine, me just a-laughing and having a big 'ol time.
I envy you your autumn. The season of mist and mellow fruitfulness has always been my favourite.

My yard is full of them, waiting to be raked into piles. Some trees in our neighbood seem to be reluctant to let go, however.
