Peace, quiet, stillness.
Even the cicadas are mute,
calm companions. Hush.

If you are interested in seeing some of my arts and crafts you can go to my blog Creationist Thinking.
Quilly – Acrylics dry very fast so mixing colors on canvas can be tricky. Be sure to wash your brushes very well. Never leave paint in them. You will ruin them. Pretend like you are eight years old and color outside of the lines. I’d love to see what you make.
The Thirteenth Crossing – I decided to open an Etsy Account to see how it works.
tilden talks – I had Starry Night in mind when I began.
Tom & Icy – My house is the green gem on the right.
Life with Kaishon – Nicholas is walking now and won’t keep still long enough for an nonblurry picture. I am trying again this weekend.
Write a haiku based on the week’s theme.
“The basics: Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)”
Riviting. Hey. How come I never see my name in lights? Pfft
ReplyDeleteI believe you're mistaken, Vanessa. Acrylics blend quite easily on canvas. Oil is the difficult medium. Love your haiku, though.

ReplyDeleteNope, too mellow. I'd be for asking you questions and poking you to see if you were awake. You'd toss me out side and then I'd wake up the cicadas.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the acrylics answer. I have been thinking about doing a bit of online study and giving it a try. Do you recommend any particular brand of paints or brushes, and why?
I actually find the cicada's song peaceful.
