Book review at
microfiction Monday: Write a story in 140 characters using the picture Susan provides as inspiration.
Hey, that's what my two characters were listen to on the radio as they were driving down the road!
ReplyDeleteUhm, Nessa, that's a really interesting non-working url to your book review. I don't think scat parses well in computer lingo.
ReplyDeleteskeep-beep de bop-bop beep bop bo-dope skeetle-at-de-op-de-day! Heres my 140. Hope your week goes well
ReplyDeleteI am a bit confused about this post, but then again it adequately summarizes my state of mind this Monday.;)
ReplyDeleteHope yours is good,
xoxoxo
hehe...nice noise...
ReplyDeletequilly: Jazz will take you to Coolville. I fixed the link. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteJohn's comments: You are speaking my language.
Zuzana: Skat is jazz “singing” of nonsensical words just for their sounds. I figured no one else would do it and we all know why.
Brian Miller: Sometimes sound is all I can do.
You have music to go with these syllables?
ReplyDeleteI adore your unique mind. Great MM. Have a wonderful week, Nessa.
ReplyDeletePerfect story for a Monday morning when everything seems a little scattered.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be singing that all day long.
ReplyDeleteMagical Mystical Teacher: I will try to post some tomorrow. I should have done that.
ReplyDeleteRosidah Abidin: Unique is a very kind word to use for it.
Jeanie: It does speak to the way my mind feels on Mondays.
Cheryl: it is quite catchy, isn’t it?
cool,man,cool
ReplyDeleteThat's very colourful Morse :-)
ReplyDeleteSo a little different from what I've seen -- marching to the beat of your own drum! Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteTapping my foot. Well done. :)
ReplyDeleteSuz: I see you’ve got your groove on.
ReplyDeleteanthonynorth: I wonder what I said. *blush*
Karen G.: There is a certain odd noise in my head.
Thom: I give it an 85 – it’s got a good dance beat.
Nice. I've been watching too much Sesame Street. I can see the Owl skatting your words as he flies to Coolville.
ReplyDeleteCoolville here I come! And it's only 8 miles away.
ReplyDelete"Cool" post.
Happy Monday♥
A cool microfiction for Coolville! Very clever.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week x
I'm just not cool enough to know what skat is. :) But hey! NOW I know!
ReplyDeleteNow I need to find my black beret...oh yeah.....
ReplyDeletereading this... smiling... not getting much... reading again + the comments... getting the idea... smiling again
ReplyDelete:)
LOL! I am currently listening to Ella sing Scat on your non-existent page! And ENJOYING it! I remember Scatman Crothers - who I assume got his name from singing scat! It's not what he was best known for - but it may have been where he started! And I remember the OWL on Sesame Street TEACHING it too! How funny!
ReplyDeleteHm, I'm hearing Ella Fitzgerald here.
ReplyDeleteSo what I MEANT was... what in the WORLD in that picture made you think of SCAT??? LOL!
ReplyDeleteWell, I was thinking of a different kind of scat at first...
ReplyDeleteI like the rhythm. Diddyboppin' to Coolville, oh yeah.
Cool, Daddy-O! You're one real gone cat!
ReplyDeleteMama Badger: Don’t look tomorrow. You might see him again.
ReplyDeleteSue: I vote for the shortest way to cool.
Ellie: Well, it is different. :)
EG Wow: Look tomorrow and you’ll really be cool.
SouthLakesMom: You’ll be smokin’!
juliana: It was bizarre. I’m sorry. :)
Melli: I had premature posting. The ghost post will be back.
PattiKen: She’s the queen of scat.
Melli: I don’t know. I thought cool and then jazz and scat. Or, I couldn’t think of a real story. :)
Granny Sue: Yes, we should have all run away.
Eric Alder: I may have been imbibing of the almighty green stuff. (Not really. That just makes me sleepy and hungry. And I don’t need help with either.)
Very clever and cute...I like it! The "words" all flow together in a nice rhythm.
ReplyDeleteheheheh.. good one, Nessa! Sometimes, this is exactly what goes on in the mind!! And then someone asks ' what are you thinking?' And all one can do, is give a blank stare, and hum it AGAIN in your mind :)
ReplyDeleteLoved this one! :)
*sings along*
ReplyDeletePat: I was reverting to a two year old for a few moments.
ReplyDeletekavisionz: Yes, sometimes there’s only noise in my head.
KB: You have the same noise, too?
Di bi di bi dub doo da!
ReplyDeleteBoom shakala!
ReplyDelete<><
no need to be sorry, nessa. i liked it :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so clever, Nessa. Love it
ReplyDeleteI take it these 'cool' people were driving to Coolville? Good one this week, although I had to read it a couple of times to get the rhythm right! Cheers.
ReplyDeleteNow THAT's Cool! I so loved this -- and want to hear more!
