My son-in-law gave me this wonderful book of handmade paper watercolors.
He's an artist, too.
You can see his work at Art From the Crow's Nest.
I didn't do anything in it yet for fear of sullying the pages.
[I have major perfection issues regarding paper.]
Today, I took the plunge, and did this sun design in INK!
I think it will be the next addition to my desk, oriented to the North, of course.
It has a Celtic Wheel in the center and lots of Celtic swirls.
You can see the painting "drink the wild wind" HERE that is on the top corner of my desk.
what a cool gift...i love hand made paper...and your design looks really cool too...ReplyDelete
did you ever say the meaning of the runes on your desk?
My daughter was trying to solve and came up with some of the answers then she lost interest. I'll post the answers soon.Delete
That looks like the perfect start to that gorgeous paper.ReplyDelete
Some watercolors will go on the next pages.Delete
Lovely to collect favorite quotes, memories, gratitude.Delete
Do honor the gift by using it. You deserve it:-)
I have another book with a green (my fave color) leather cover with hand made paper that I will use for a memory (scrap) book.Delete
