Pass It On

Update 4.28pm 6/11/07: I hate to write a disclaimer, because I thought what I was doing was self evident, but this would not be the first time I have been wrong (in my assumptions – I’m not ever really wrong-wrong; D) Just in case you do not know Ann Coulter, the following is an extreme parody of how she attacks her opponents and detractors. I do not expect anyone to believe me or take my word at face value. Her behavior, her comments and her writing are well documented. My purpose in writing the following was to point out the ridiculousness of this kind of behavior. If you wish to know more about her and her kind, whether right, left, liberal or conservative, they are out there for you to see for yourself. I’m not trying to convince you. Make up your own mind. I did.

I read at She’s a Real Mother that Ann Coulter is really a man who has had a sex change operation.

This does not surprise me in the least. She is a disgrace to womanhood and not because she has strong opinions. Strong women have strong opinions. No, I say she can not be a woman because she defends her opinions with outright lies and slanderous attacks on other people.

So, the alternative is that she is a man disguised as a woman. Of course, this insults all good men everywhere.

What is the alternative? I can only conclude that Ann Coulter must be a sexless alien from the planet Zarcon. Oh gosh, now I’m insulting aliens. Well at least I can say for sure she is not human.

Pass it on!

  1. Um, this is going to sound totally horrible but here it goes. When Mr. Falwell died, I was a bit happy. When Ann Coulter dies, I'm guessing I will be a wee bit giddy. There, I said it.

  2. Ann Coulter is venomous. We have an otherwise good paper locally, and the only reason I think they carry her is because she is so obviously opposed to anything sensible. It is amazing how many support her jibberish.

  3. Egan: There is always reason for joy when poison leaves the world.

Gawilli: I can't understand how people can listen to her, either. She really does make me physically ill.

  6. I like your take on Ann Coulter, the man, or Ann Coulter, the alien, not being fair to men or the Zarconians. She does spew some real crap. Maybe we should call her an ultra-conservative. However, that is not fair to the conservatives. Even if they are wrong, many conservatives are well-intentioned. I do have my doubts about Ms. Coulter's intentions.

    Your super cape is perfect.

  7. I think it is easier to define what Ann Coulter isn't then to define what she is. She isn't worth my time.

  8. I'm not exactly sure WHAT she is - but I AM sure that she should keep her mouth shut. She obviously missed all the lessons most of us learned before we even started school - such as decency, tact, honesty, etc.etc.etc.

  9. I have never heard the woman. I have no doubt that she says things that people don't like because you say so. But I would still have a hard time saying mean things about her or starting lies. At some point it all must stop.

  10. I just thought she was a nasty circus horse with makeup and a wig on.

  11. mjd: I think this is her gimmick to make money. She doesn’t seem to be intelligent enough to make a living in a more legitimate manner.

Quilly: She would be less dangerous if fewer people paid attention to her.

Jackie: Perhaps she's just another attention hound and doesn't care how she gets it.

Dr. John: She goes beyond saying things I don't like. Normally I have no problem with people expressing their opinions, but she spews vulgar lies and tries to cloak them in truth. She is a propagandist for evil. My little story is an example of what she does and my hope is that some people will see she is just as ridiculous.

    Grunty: Another good caricature.

  16. As I am not a Liberal, I don't care that Ms. Coulter is disliked by Liberals. Do you have any documentation to shore up your belief that she knowingly tells lies?

It's not that I seek to defend her, particularly, it's just that I've seen people on both sides of the political aisle attacked in just the manner you attack Ms. Coulter.

Hey, if she deserves your opprobrium, then you're doing a good thing. But if you're attacking simply because she is across the aisle from you, politically, then that's probably not good for you.

  17. BB: I don't care if Ann Coulter is a liberal or conservative. I don't play along those lines.

Do you consider plagiarism lying? Ann Coulter has lifted direct quotes from many sources without citing them and taken them as her own in her columns and her book. But apparently because they are 33 words and less, she is not prosecutable (and being a lawyer, she knows the letter of the law.)

  18. I believe the sex change theory. Why not?

  19. Rhea: Makes as much sense as Bill Clinton being gay.

  20. I didn't know Ann Coulter practiced semi-quasi-plagiarism. From what little I've read of her (the occasional column) I never spotted it. Are they direct, 100% lifts of less than 33 words or does she change the occasional word or rearrange phrases?

I've also never spotted any 'outright lies.'

When Bill Clinton was being excoriated by the Right for getting a blow job, I didn't take that ride. I was only concerned that people had seen him cheat at golf and sign for a score less than he'd actually shot.

So at this point in time, I would not play golf with William Jefferson Clinton, but I would with Ann Coulter, and now at least I know to make "her" hit from the mens' tees.

  21. BB: The 33 word passage was a direct lift from a 1999 article.

Here is a pretty good summary with discussion is you are interested.

  24. Also to B.B: Her attack last year on the widows of 9-11 victims was fueled, she said, by the fact that "they" made commercials supporting Kerry. she that the widows should take their millions of dollars and "shut up." that is a direct quote. This is not only offensive it presents the facts in a way that is intentionally misleading. I say this because it is a matter of public reacord that several widows and family members of victims of the 9-11 attacks made commercials and public appearnace campaigning for Bush in the last election.
