Beautiful, look at all the colours! He (she?) better run fast;) Only two days left.;) I can not believe that I am the first today.;) Have a lovely Tuesday.;) xo Zuzana
He's a pretty turkey, Nessa. You are very creative. For sure you have found your calling.
That buzzard won't be running away very far, only round and round in a few circles, soon. Grab him by the head, put your feet on his ankles and pull hard. Have handy a tea kettle with hot water, scald him when he quits flopping. Then you can pull those pretty feathers right out easily. Just in case you were serious.
Last year Palin pardoned one, you could do that with yours. ..
Ha! Ours are safely in the freezer, and you don't want to know just how to clean a turkey butt and all the rest, either. It's a good thing we dress them out early so I can forget that part when he's browning nicely in the oven!
happy thanksgiving, i am sure you will make a wonderful dinner, and don't forget, it is OK to ask your guests to help clean up, it is part of the joy of thanksgiving. the camaraderie the laughter, everything happens in the kitchen!! we are having it at my house this year too!!

Have you ever eaten turkey tails? I don't really care for them. Too close to the butt LOL. Great picutre my friend :)
ReplyDeleteTurkey butt. Not my favorite part.
ReplyDeleteWhat a colorful butt! Lovely artwork. But nope, I'd skip on that part ;).
ReplyDeleteRun, turkey, run!
ReplyDeleteOh, he's not gettin' away! Right now he's frozen solid! But that oughta be changin' in the next 24-48 hours!
ReplyDeleteHave a good one Nessa!
Great butt!!
ReplyDeleteWell, as a Brit, I don't want it running too much. It'll lose too much weight before we have turkey at Christmas :-)
ReplyDeleteVery funny! Poor Tom Turkey is the butt of many jokes here today.
ReplyDeleteI'm more of a breast person myself, wait...that sounds wrong ;) Happy Thanksgiving!

I just LOVE Turkey Tail...
ReplyDeleteWe used to call it The Pope's Nose!
Okay, that was worth a chuckle or two.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, Nessa.
ReplyDeletePS - Tofurkeys don't have butts!
I am going to have to pass on any part of the turkey, but a happy Thanksgiving to you!
ReplyDeleteBe glad your turkey comes pre-plucked with no feathers.
ReplyDeleteLove your turkey! I did your Thanksgiving MeMe, with a link back to you. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDelete"Just living isn't enough," said the Turkey Butt. "One must have sunshine, freedom and a little tail."
ReplyDeleteIf I was that turkey I wouldn't be standing around posing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture : )
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your turkeys all year.
