  5. That is a good one. I cooked a turkey but I did not eat any turkey. I have gone vegetarian with my daughter and her husband. I actually feel a lot better not eating meat. For our dressing I used Ezekiel bread, onions, sage and vegetable broth. It was different but not too bad. I also made my regular chicken with cornbread dressing for the non vegetarians.

  6. Nessa, you do the very best Thanksgiving illustrations. I blame tryptophane for not coming to see this yesterday. Happy People Day, belated.

  13. That's a new term for me. I have thought about going vegetarian, but I got as far as not eating red meat.

Reminds me of the 'toon turkey I saw that had a sign that said "Eat ham."

Hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

  26. Happy belated Thanksgiving! We don't do turkey in the Mutha homestead -- so your turley is especially funny -- especially with Charlton Heston etched in my mind as the screamer of the line....I'm not even sure if that is true -- and yet I can see his neckerchief as plain as day!

  29. Our turkey dinner was quite enjoyable, thank you! did I tell you the story of our daughter returning home a vegetarian. I didn't know what to do in my kitchen . Learning quickly we enjoyed one full year of vegetarian cooking. It was great fun and we lost weight and felt healier. Unfortunately the day she moved out to be on her own I made steak and potatoes and its been all down hill from there.lol
"Happy belated green turkey wishes to you!"
