Flash 55 – Smear Off

03
Spanky staggered from the bar and fumbled in his jeans pocket for his keys. He scratched the paint around the door’s lock. Once in the car, he backed out of the lot while patting his jacket in search of his little bottle. Looking down around his feet he never saw the light pole before impact.

  3. Unfortunately, the inspiration for the story has not seen the light.

They said it could take 48 hours. I'm trying to be patient.

  6. Like they say...alcohol and driving don't mix. Good story but I think most drunk drivers end up killing or hurting other people. God bless, Lloyd

  23. These are the dangers of multi-tasking. And under the influence--not good.

  25. Your story cracked me up! My freshman year in college a bunch of us celebrated the end of finals together and a few of us had a bit too much to drink. Upon leaving the gathering, Andy got in his pickup, started it up, and backed directly into the light pole in the parking lot. Ron ran over and pulled him out of the rig, asked if he was okay, and demanded, "Didn't you see that light pole?"

Andy replied, "Yeah, man, but I thought it would move!"

  31. How many times do you leave a bar knowing everything there is to know, and forget how to drive? It boggles the mind.

  32. That's a great way of putting it.
