Ever feel like you’re just one step out of sync with the world? Like a shadow on an old television show?
I’m visiting my daughter this weekend. Hopefully, by February 1st my psyche will be realigned with the rotation of the earth. If not, I will continue to float in a gossamer no man's land.
Not really a story, Mr. know-It-All, but it is in 55.
Flash 55 is hosted by G-Man (Mr. Knowitall). The idea is to write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you’ve posted your 55. Thanks G-man for hosting.
I guess we all feel like that sometimes.ReplyDelete
I definitely feel like that sometimes!ReplyDelete
You'd better be careful about going to Dr. Doo Doo.ReplyDelete
Sometimes we all just need a BREAK Nessa! It's okay! Have fun with your daughter! (and that grandbaby I suppose...) :)ReplyDelete
Excellent and vivid!ReplyDelete
I think it is a great 55 story, as it is a real one.;) Have a nice weekend,ReplyDelete
I hope you have a great visit. Nice 55 story.ReplyDelete
Oh yeah I know that feeling well.ReplyDelete
Nice 55! I will be back for more!ReplyDelete
Vanessa...It can't be THAT bad!ReplyDelete
Excellent 55 My Dear.
All of us parents sure know your trepidations.
Thank you for this fine contribution, and please have a Kick Ass Week-End...G
hope the rest of the month goes well for you and february be a fresh start...nice 55. smiles.ReplyDelete
Sounds like you need to get grounded. Maybe seeing your dd will do it for you.ReplyDelete
I think it was a great 55, I think we all feel that way sometimes and it's nice to know we're not alone.ReplyDelete
its nice just to float sometimes. Visiting your daughter is always a nice thing to do and she will halt the float most likely.... mine would anyway. Ha ha.ReplyDelete
:) if there's one thing i've learned is that we're all different and yet we're all the same. thanks for visiting my blog!ReplyDelete
Oh I've so been there - and may still be there -- maybe I've just gotten used to the gossamer?ReplyDelete
Hope you feel better. :)
Every new month, or day for that matter, is a chance for a fresh start. Great 55!ReplyDelete
Thanks for visiting mine right HERE
Great 55, I've felt like that at times too, as though disconnected from reality as it temporarily warps around me.ReplyDelete
My 55 is HERE
I feel your pain...really...realignment in progress...ReplyDelete
But it is a story. Your personal story.ReplyDelete
Great job of evoking a familiar feeling in a limited number of words. It is certainly a feeling that we all have at times.ReplyDelete
I often feel like that. I hope your visit is wonderful.ReplyDelete
Still digging this idea.ReplyDelete
Oh yes! i'm constantly out of touch!ReplyDelete
Have fun visiting your daughter!
Have a nice visit! When you get back how about another report on hubby? Thanks.ReplyDelete
It's that baby, isn't it? We aren't as cute as he is, so we lose out. Come on, who have you known longer? ;)ReplyDelete
Or in your case, no woman's land. Hope February makes things better.ReplyDelete
You conveyed the feeling well in just 55!ReplyDelete
Here's to February 1st bringing that realignment!ReplyDelete
The instructor of the writing class that I am attending mentioned flash fiction. I was able to nod knowingly. But if it weren't for blog reading I NEVER would have known what it was.
I hope you've had a great weekend!
